Farinha does Junior Champs doubleTrinidad Express :: 08.06.2015Jonathan Farinha completed a 100-200 metres double yesterday when he took the one-lap sprint on the second and final day of the NGC-NAAA National Junior Track and Field Championships at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. Farinha, running for Abilene, was a comfortable winner of the Boys Under-20 200 metres, clocking 20.87 seconds to finish ahead of Joash Huggins of Dovers (21.39) and Farinha's team-mate Corey Stewart (21.58). On Saturday, Farinha completed the first half of his double when he won the 100m in 10.42 to also finish ahead of Huggins (10.68). In the Girls Under-20 200m yesterday, Jeminise Parris of Memphis Pioneers got to the line in 24.33 ahead of team-mate Thyla-Marie Scott (24.59) and Jael Ferguson of Abilene (24.73). |
