NAAA sends condolences to Borel

The local governing body for track and field has expressed its condolences to Cleopatra Borel, following the death of her father, last week.

A press release, issued yesterday by president Ephraim Serrette, said: “The National Association of Athletics Administrations wishes to express our sincere regret and sorrow on learning of the passing of Raymond Borel, father of national athlete Cleopatra Borel. The NAAA also wishes to convey our deepest condolences in this time of sadness to Cleopatra and her family. With highest regard, may his soul rest in peace.”

The funeral service for Raymond Borel takes place from 10 a.m. today, at the St. Peter & St. Paul R.C Church, Church Street, Mayaro. He will be buried at the Radix Cemetery.
